Former PRP fellow Prof. KC Johnson looks at an earlier instance caught on tape where LBJ tried to persuade Congressman Jim Wright to throw his hat in the ring of a Democratic primary at the last minute and offered to take care of him with "whatever you wanted" if he lost.
