President Nixon: Yeah?

White House Operator: Steve Bull, sir.1

Stephen B. Bull: Yes, sir.

President Nixon: Steve, I wanted to . . . I spoke to the commander last night, what's his name, the new commander.

Bull: Craig Campbell, sir.

President Nixon: Huh?

Bull: Campbell.

President Nixon: Campbell. Anyway, I spoke to him about Frazier, and I wanted Frazier brought up to the yellow oval room, and then I also—which I already told him—and I want him also in the picture.2 But I will not have him in the receiving line. I want just Haley and myself in the receiving line.

Bull: All right sir, I understand.

President Nixon: Yeah, yeah. But I want to be sure that Frazier's brought up and that he gets in the picture because everyone will want a picture, and I'd rather have them take it while we're standing there than to come in and take it while we're in the receiving line.

Bull: All right, sir, fine.

President Nixon: Fine.

Bull: Thank you.
