White House Operator: Yes, please?
H.R. “Bob” Haldeman∇: Steve Bull, please.
White House Operator: Yes, sir. [Pause.]

Haldeman: You go up the steps, the press can see him. You go in the driveway, the only people that see him are the—
Bull: Oh, [unclear].
Haldeman: —the people in the building.
Bull: That’s a good idea. You’re right. OK.
Haldeman: I don’t think you see very many people. You pull in the driveway, walk right down the hall and up the—
Bull: Well, we’ll just . . . Right.
Bull: OK. Does anyone else know?
Bull: OK, then I won’t tell anyone else, then. Fine.
Bull: Thank you.
